LDS Church Emergency Preparedness and Response Info

This is a jackpot of information by the Church on guidelines Family Emergency planning, Volunteering to help with a disaster, Ward and Stake preparedness information and much more!

Prepared LDS Family blog

I stumbled upon the wonderful Prepared LDS Family blog.  A great place to help you start the journey of a 3 month or year supply of food storage and emergency supplies.  She encourages you to immediatly put together a 72 hour kit, then little by little put together the things needed for a 3 month supply of food and a year supply of food.  She is very organized and full of information.  Answers most of the questions I can come up with.  Check it out!

Lemon oil

This may sound kind of gross, but I just drank out of a water bottle left in my craft room from a couple weeks ago.  The water tasted great.  Thanks to the one lemon doterra oil drop I put in the water.  I often put a drop of the oil in my water to make it taste good, but today got me thinking, lemon oil could come in handy if we have to drink the water we have stored.  The water in my craft room was only weeks old, not months old like the water in my storage room, but I think the lemon made it taste fresh from the sink.
